Your Relationship With Rest

Five questions for evaluating how and when you allow yourself to rest (or don't).

Our lives can often feel like a roller coaster of fast-moving highs and lows, promise, and collapse. It can take its toll on the most resilient among us. But it's important to remember that you're not a machine. Rest and integration are two of the most important facets of building a sustainable life. Yet, it’s often the most overlooked and under-prioritized when we get busy. Below are some thoughtful questions for evaluating how you give yourself the time and space to rest properly:

1. When was the last time you felt like you had meaningful rest?

2. How do you plan time off? What is your relationship to blank space on your calendar?

3. What stops you from getting the rest you deserve?

4. What are some things that you can delegate or let go of in order to free up some time for yourself?

5. How can you build retreat time, or downtime, into your weekly, monthly, and quarterly calendar? What might that look like?
